This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for University of Oregon Ecommerce applications developed and administered by the Division of Graduate Studies, University of Oregon(UO).

We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

The Division of Graduate Studies, University of Oregon(UO) does not sell or otherwise provide any personal information collected on UO eCommerce applications to any external entity except as expressly stated on this site, or as otherwise permitted by law.

The Division of Graduate Studies, University of Oregon(UO) may collect the following information from visitors to our web site:

How we use the information we collect

We use contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. 

Information collected automatically by our server is analyzed to help us understand how you use our web services and how we can improve our site to better meet your needs.  Information provided by the user is the minimal data needed to successfully complete a web transaction.

Cookies

This site stores cookies.  Cookies are information about your previous interaction with this site, stored on your local system, and retrieved at the time of a subsequent visit.  Cookies vary widely, examples are passwords or address information that allow for a smoother transition between web pages on the same site.

Security

While no computing environment is 100% secure, we take every precaution to protect the user's information. When a user submits sensitive information via the web, that information is protected both online and off-line.

When a form asks users to enter confidential information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected using Secure Sockets Encryption.

We strive to protect user information off-line. Access to all user information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform necessary functions are granted access to this information. Sensitive data is stored in a secure format unless otherwise approved by the University of Oregon Vice President for Administration.

We will provide a way to correct, update, or remove personal data provided to us by users. This can usually be done at the member information page or by emailing our Customer Support at gradsch@oregon.uoregon.edu.

We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.
